I have a feeling that 2006 is going to be a big year for me. I don't know what's going to happen, but when it does i'll let everybody know.

I had a feeling they might get into Ezekiel. It's been years since a publication that has tried to explain it. I can hardly wait to see all the new lame pictures that show world chaos and anarcy in the time of the end.

Within Our Lifetime Again?

Everyone that has become a JW (or Bible Student) has thought that THEY would see the great conclusion of all thigns. They forget that ALL CHRISTIANS have been waiting for the same things the last 1900 years. Even the apostles thought it would be in their lifetime.

Were you persecuted while in the WTS?
by greendawn induring your stint in the wts were there any jws that would regularly harass and persecute you because of jealousy or sheer malice rather than due to any "apopstate ideas?

Everybody leaves me alone for the most part. I'm sure if I spoke my mind I would be a the bottom of everybodys list.
What is amazing is how I felt that I was under the pressure of Satan and that I needed to get baptized. They got me so excited about going under, but never did anything to keep me. After years with as many good friends as um.... one. What was I thinking. -

Have you converted?

now that youve left, do you ever feel responsible for these people in any way?
theres no reason why you should i suppose but im interested from a human angle.

I wonder what is going to happen the day that I finally am able to leave. There was a number of men in my first congregation that really liked me. I wonder if they will ever bother to hear my side of the story. This of course is pending upon what happens. Still, I can't help but wonder.

Fulfillment of Prophecy
by daniel-p inok, i'm going to try to phrase this as articulately as i can - i'm not completely sure what i'm asking here, but if you have any thoughts on the matter please comment.
my question is this: do you ever feel like all that wt prophecy about the fall of babylon makes sense when you watch the news or read the newspaper?
sometimes a member of my family or a friend will rattle off on some bit of news they heard regarding the pope or a country's leader that seems to fall in line with the watchtower's take on revelation and i get all alarmed and alert - sort of a subconscious reaction.

Many people have associated the Papacy with Babylon the Great, as well as the "Great Apostacy". This goes back hundreds of years.
You must remember though that just because one group of people is wrong, dosn't make another group right. This is the entire draw of the Witnesses. It is a totally physical movement. If you believe that God has no particular organization, then many of their arguments go out the window. They are very dependent upon people believing that God has some physical place here on earth with some specific group.
